Gloria Grabowski, 72, formerly of Levittown, died on June 28, 1999. Born in the Bronx, she was a courier for the War Dept. during WWII. She moved to Levittown in 1948 with her first husband Sid Maurer. They divorced and she married Henry Grabowski five years later. She was a master gardener and a member of the Sagamore Garden Club. She was environmental and Nassau North chairwoman in the Federated Garden Clubs of NY, the Sagamore chapter's parent organization. She is survived by her husband, Henry; her children, Claudia, Gary, Craig, Dennis and Michael Maurer; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial service at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, Chamblee, GA. Interment Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, GA. Richard Goodenough, formerly of Levittown, died on July 8, 1999. Retired captain NYPD. Husband of Dolores. Father of Gary and Gail McCoy. Grandfather of six.
