Division opened up its Southside Series with a 9-1 victory. Ryan Darcy was the winning pitcher, scattering five hits while striking out 11 batters.

Division scored a run in the second and third inning on hits by junior Kevin Schneider and sophomore PJ Antoniato. The Dragons broke the game opening the sixth inning and seventh inning on RBI hits by Joe Woods, Dan Cronin, and Joe Laudisio. The offense was led by Woods, Laudisio, Antoniato, and Schneider who each had two hits.

In the second game of the series Division won again, 4-0, as Cronin pitched a no-hitter, striking out 10 batters. Cronin just missed a perfect game when he walked a batter with two outs in the seventh inning.

Cronin was also the hitting star, singling in two runs in the third inning.

Steve Juliano and Laudisio both made big defensive plays in support of Cronin. Catcher Eric Fierro was spectacular behind the plate, calling a great game.

On Saturday, the Division "Blue Dragons" defeated Southside 12-3. Antoniato and Colin Schmaeling combined for the win.

The Division offense was led by Schneider with three hits and four runs batted in; Fierro with three hits, one RBI and two runs scored; Alex Muniz with two hits and two RBIs; Kevin Saragossi with two hits, three runs scored and one RBI; and Antoniato with two hits, three runs scored, and one RBI.

With these three wins the Dragons are now posting a 12-0 record. Division has had a balanced pitching attack with an equally balanced batting line up. In each game it is two or three different players who supply the key hits.

Next week Division is home Tuesday and Friday against the Calhoun Colts at 4:15 and away at Calhoun on Wednesday at Brookside Junior High School at 4:30 p.m.
