The Division Avenue Boys Lacrosse team has started off on a roll. The Blue Dragons opened the season with an impressive 6-2 win over North Shore Friday, March 19.

Kevin Mulholland paced the attack with four goals. Joe Dlabola and Frank Temple also scored in the game. Strong defense and hot goaltending by Chris Boneillo rounded out the win.

The Blue Dragons won their second game of the season, shutting out New Hyde Park with a score of 7-0. Boneillo earned the first shutout of his career as he came up with some great saves in goal. Leading the scoring for Division was John Harrigan with two goals. Jason Ramo, Ross Mondello, Kevin O'Hagan, Dlabola, and Jason Hudes also scored.

Last Thursday the Blue Dragons defeated Island Trees in the opening game of the MacArthur Lacrosse Tournament with a score of 12-5. Scoring for Division was Jason Ramo, Kevin Mulholland, Frank Temple and Matt Fagan all with two goals each. Ross Mondello, Joe Dlabola, Kevin O'Hagan, and John Harrigan also scored for Division. The defense played tough as Chris Boneillo (11 saves) and Matt Lander (1 save) stopped the Island Trees offense.

The Division Avenue Boys Lacrosse team defeated Bellmore-JFK in the final of the Levittown Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday with a score of 8-4.

Kevin Mulholland led all scorers with four goals. Joe Dlabola scored twice and Ross Mondello and Kevin O'Hagan each added goals. Chris Boneillo had 10 saves in net for Division. The defense once again played a strong game, shutting down many of Bellmore's opportunities.

Division is off to its best start in the last few years, but faces tough competition as they go against Bethpage and Seaford before starting league play on April 13 at home vs. South Side.
