The 8th grade Girls Basketball team concluded their season with a spectacular game against Plainview. Trailing by as many as 14, the Lady Dawgs fought back to within 3 before falling. Leading the Dogs was Erin Carroll with 6, followed by Rebecca Santoriello with 5. Scoring 4 each were Candace Grosser and Chelsea Marciano. Jen D'Albenzio finished with 3 and Jessica Marciano and Jackie Wilson added a field goal each. This team showed improvement with each game. Terrific season ladies.

Congratulations to the wrestling team. Even though the team was defeated 57-50 by an outstanding Seaford team, individual goals highlighted the match. Peter McAllister remained undefeated by pinning his opponent. Grey Schwab earned his first victory by pinning his opponent in the third period and Tasha Weinmann earned her third victory of the season with a 6-4 decision. Other pins by Jeff Bischoff, Peter Eisele and Jimmy Scrimo keep the match close. Adam Macaluso, Tom Murphy, Louis Groner, Matt Fiorello and Rob Bischoff all won by decision. Good luck to captains Paul DePasquale, Matt Fiorello and Matt Lorenzini as well as other eighth graders Lou Groner, Rob Bischoff, Adam Macaluso, Matt Anderson, Pete McAllister, Jimmy Scrimo, Paul Wigdzinski, Aaron Lerner, Cory Owen, Tasha Weinmann, Matt Brady and Kevin Mahoney when they continue wrestling at the high school level. Great job this season by the entire team.
