Thanks for the stories you've been doing on the demise of Smith's Drugs in Levittown. We've been longtime customers over the years and found them to provide extraordinary service. They really were interested in people's needs and got to know their customers personally. I was frequently hailed by name as soon as I came to the pharmacy section and they really "leaned over backwards" to fill a request or, often, just to give valuable, useful advice.

Yes, it's sad when the small town aspects of life disappear. It was a special place, with its central location, for the community; we could always count on having a "Smith's Drugs" T-shirt on one of the Little League teams for as long as I can remember. Our son wore his with pride as a 9-year-old. Meta and Lester were friends and truly served Levittown. Smith Drugs will be missed.
