Carole L. Thomas, 42, of Westbury, died on Nov. 13, 1998 of breast cancer. Born in Bethpage, she lived in Levittwon and graduated from Division Avenue High School. She worked as a nurse's aide coordinator with her mother later buying her mother's company, Nassau-Suffolk Home Care and Aides Inc.

Mrs. Thomas was a volunteer for the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast CancerHotline, a support group at Adelphi University's School of Social Work. She was a member of 1 in 9 Nassau County Breast Cancer Coalition, the National Breast Cancer Coalition and the LI Chapter of Health Care Providers. She was also trustee on the board of directors for the NYS Health Care Providers Workers Compensation Trust.

She was the wife of Joseph. Mother of Robert. Sister of Barbara Galletti. Daughter of Herman Friedman. Stepdaughter of Irwin Plank and Sylvia Friedman. Halfsister of Eva Friedman. Stepsister of Barbara Abrams, Melinda Harris, Rita Baker, Fletcher Plank and Joel Kornbluth. Daughter-in-law of Ellen Thomas.
