The girls varsity team is off to an excellent start. On their first match of the season, the team defeated Wantagh in a close match by the score of 6-5. In their second match, they defeated Massapequa 11-0. Pam Koromi (167), Kathy Curry (154) and Lou Ann Koromi (154) rolled good scores.
The boys varsity team is 1-1 after the first two matches. They lost to Plainedge 6-5 and came back to defeat MacArthur 6-5. High games were rolled by Chris Caltabiano (223 and 199), Greg Thomson (193) and Brett Rottkamp (190).
The junior varsity boys are on a roll, winning their first two matches. They defeated Plainedge 11-0 and defeated MacArthur 8-3. High games by Matt Rottkamp (198 and 190), Jude Brewer (189, 187, 183 and 181), Matt Hallas (182) and Brian Beale (181).
The girls JV basketball team started off their season by doing well in a scrimmage against Seaford and winning a non-league game against Sewanhaka. Top scorers were Lisa Smith, Michelle McGowan, Meghan Voss, Ashley Tonno, Mary O'Brien, Erin Ludewig and Elena O'Brien. Lauren Smath, Danielle Cama, April Orthner, Dana Rinaldi and Joann O'Brien played tenacious defense. Coaches Goldberg and Dvorak were pleased with the team's performance. Great job girls!
The eighth grade girls volleyball team lost a tough match to Plainview, two games to one. The Lady Bulldogs started the match with a convincing win in the first game, but ended up losing two very close games to lose the match. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Rebecca Santoriello who had 10 points and Chelsea Marciano who had six points. Heather Rooks, Patty Eleazer and Erin Carroll also contributed strong play.
The boys seventh grade basketball team lost to Wisdom Lane 50 to 41. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Anthony DiDomenico with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Other Bulldog scorers included Matt Sinisi, Justin O'Donnell and T.J. Young with two points each. Bryan Singh and Michael Doscher each scored three points. Anthony Thompson had four points and Kevin Fusci and Anthony Rinaldi had six points each. The Bulldogs will travel to Salk for their next game.
