The Manhasset Indians defeated the Bulldogs with a score of 27-0. Critical mistakes on special teams and defense led to points by Manhasset. Offensively, mistakes halted good Bulldog drives. Island Trees came out of the gates real slow and Manhasset capitalized. They scored 14 points in the first quarter. The second quarter was all Bulldogs as the offense put together two long time consuming drives. No points were scored though, because of ill-advised penalties. The third quarter began with the Bulldogs pinning Manhasset deep in their own territory, but the Indians' running back ran for an 85-yard touchdown to make the score 20-0. The Dawgs played hard against a strong opponent. The score was not indicative of how well they played. The Bulldogs record is now 4 - 2. The two losses are against teams with a combined record of 9 - 1, two top teams.

The Bulldogs sailed into Viking territory on Saturday and put together their finest offensive outing of the year by posting a 42-27 victory over host North Shore. In dominating fashion, the Dawgs amassed 400 yards in total offense led by Michael Rossi, who scored four touchdowns while rushing for 168 yards. Rossi scored two on the ground on runs of 50 and 38 yards. James Lyons, who threw for two touchdowns to Rossi on plays of 65 and 55 yards, spearheaded the well-balanced Bulldog attack. Lyons also completed a pass to a diving Herbert Reyes for a first down early in the contest to keep a drive alive and give the Dawgs a first down en-route to their first touchdown. Reyes added a touchdown on a 25-yard reverse and also converted on two extra point kicks. Blowing gapping holes in the Viking defense were fullback Paul Wigdzinski and power back Matt Fiorello. Rounding out the scoring was Justin O'Donnell whose 35-yard scamper into the end zone was a big lift to the team in the second quarter. Ryan Aguirre added 35 yards on the ground and came up with a sack of the opposing quarterback. The Bulldogs could do no wrong as they converted a botched extra point try when Wigdzinski picked up a bad snap and threw to Fiorello in the corner of the end zone to convert the extra point. Kevin Fusci received the defensive player of the game award by making 13 tackles. Remington Kilfoil, Cory Owen, Dondi Peterson, Zach Strauss, Andre Rivera, Adam Maculuso and Matt Brady played solid ironman football on both sides of the ball. The team record now stands at 3-1-1.
