Levittown Red traveled to Lindenhurst this past Sunday to play in their sixth game of the season.

On Levittown's first possession they traveled down the field for several first downs before their first four touchdowns. Levittown controlled the ball and the game. Lindenhurst scored twice to make the final score; Levittown 25, Lindenhurst 14. Levittown's record is now 5-1.

Pee Wee Grey defeated the North Babylon Bulldogs 18-6 on Sunday to become the only undefeated team in their division. Grey's defense, led by Michael Cheshire, David Williams, Chris Celentani, Bobby Barsch, Frankie D'Elia, Danny Nicolino, and Anthony Wrightington proved to be too much for North Babylon, holding them scoreless throughout most of the game. Great blocking by a strong offensive line, including Chris Brumber, Matthew Burmeister, Dominique Alexander, Anthony Villa, John Kreppel, and Conor Bickford coupled with great running by Brett Tom, Tommy Celentani, Ronnie Modik, and Jack Lang led to three Red Devil touchdowns. The first two were scored by Lang and the third by Modik.

Leading the game 18-0 halfway through the fourth quarter, Cheshire, Tommy Celentani, Lang, and Modik were pulled from the game. With less than one minute to play, North Babylon ran the ball in for a touchdown, making the final score 18-6.

"These boys have learned the most important thing, to play as a team. Each game a different player steps up to make the great play," said Assistant Coach Ralph Celentani.

Will Grey's streak continue? Find out next week when they face North Babylon White on Saturday. Go Grey!

"One for the thumb" for the LRD Midget White! Five straight wins for Head Coach Mark Sniffen and his Renegades as they vault to second in their division.

The Renegades (5-1), at home for their third game in a row, this one against Lindenhurst (2-4), a team they dominated from beginning to end.

After both teams traded turnovers in the first, the Renegades turned up the volume. Key runs by #11 Vinnie Pannarelli and #22 Joey Ciarvino put the Midget White in Lindenhurst territory. They used the "grif special" a reverse to #41 Stanley Griffin, to pick up 30 yards, and place themselves deep in Lindy territory. Same drive, two plays later, it was Ciarvino bringing it home for the first touchdown of the game. The point after was no good, making the score to 6-0, Renegades.

Just seconds before the end of the half, a defensive explosion. With Lindenhurst driving, a gang of Renegades including #33 Anthony Hyde, Pannarelli, #14 Adam Swensen, Griffin, #77 Brian Meredith and Ciarvino attacked the quarterback, forcing a fumble and a Renegade recovery. Pannarelli swooped that one up and barreled in 25 yards for the second touchdown of the day. A failed field goal attempt kept the score even, 12-0, Renegades.

In the third, after a defensive stop, the offense got in on the action. Key blocking by #72 Sam Braverman, #88 Brendan Cronin, #50 Alexander Zic, and #51 Alexander Torrellas and opened holes for Pannarelli and Ciarvino to rumble their way into Lindenhurst territory. Mark Sniffen, #29, did the honors this time, rushing for the Renegades third touchdown of the day. The point after was no good. Midget White, 18-0.

Once again, an opposing team avoids a shutout only after removal of key Renegade players. Pannarelli, Swensen, Ciarvino, and Griffin were sent off to the sidelines. In the fourth, despite an impressive defensive stand by #40 CJ Hargrove, #99 Dennis Roach, #12 Chris Callahan, and #35 Sean Perrone, Lindenhurst managed their first and only touchdown of the day. The extra point was no good. Another superior performance by the Renegades left the score at 18-6, giving the Red Devil Midget White team its fifth straight win.

The Renegades will have their true test next Sunday. With homefield advantage on their side, they will attempt to hand Seaford their first loss of the season and enhance their reputation as one of the best teams in their division.

Levittown Pee Wee Gold defeated Syosset last Friday night 20-13 in a very exciting game. Syosset scored first but did not make the extra point. Gold came right back with a 40-yard touchdown run by Frankie Baglivo. The extra point was good. Gold had a halftime lead of one point.

In the third quarter outstanding blocking by Joey Cataldo, Corey Rugen, Matt McBride, Mike McIlwrath, Cody Kat, and Heath Feldman helped running back Baglivo score two more touchdowns, giving his team a 20-6 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Syosset came back to score another touchdown but Gold's defense, including a forced fumble by Gary Bauer and recovery by Tyler Savin helped Gold to gain possession of the ball and win the game.

Great defense by Jesse Fishon, William Weingart, Monica Morace, Nick Murray, Rafiq Wallace, Taylor Stern, Philip Rinaldi, Anthony Guido, Richard Maier, Joey Cuccaro, Brendan Hyde, and CJ Reilly. WAY TO GO GOLD!
