At the July 8 reorganization meeting, the Island Trees School Board decided to apply $170,000 from State Aid and the Fund Balance to offset the $0.35 increase cause by the county and to reduce the $2.19 budget increase by $0.12, bringing the final tax increase down to $2.07 per hundred of assessed valuation.
