Last Friday the Division Baseball team defeated Westbury with a score of 10-0.

Ryan Darcy was the winning pitcher, hurling a shutout while striking out eight batters in a five-inning, rain-shortened game.

Kevin Martin got Division on the board with a second inning homer.

Steve Juliano led Division with three hits, including two doubles, with three runs batted in.

Phil Hoch also chipped in with a two-run double for Division.

Division Avenue senior pitcher Brian Rose has just signed a letter of intent for a baseball scholarship to Adelphi University.

Adelphi is considered to be one of the top Division II baseball schools in the nation. Adelphi has made it to the Division II College World Series three times in the last six seasons.

Rose has not only received a baseball scholarship for his pitching ability but has also been offered an academic scholarship for his artistic talent.

This is Division's second baseball player to receive baseball scholarship money this season.
