In the series opener against Glen Cove Division lost 6-4. Despite giving up five hits, Chris Flinn pitched a dominant game, striking out 14 batters. Out of Glen Cove's five hits, two were infield singles and two were bloops to the outfield.

Bob Passabile, Steve Oliver, Jason Schneider, and Kevin Martin had big hits for Division but Steve Juliano was the hitting star with two hits.

In the second game Division was down 2-1 in the seventh inning and came up with five runs to win 6-2. Mike Pelcher was the winning pitcher, allowing only two hits, while striking out 16 batters.

Division started off the seventh inning with a solo homer to knot the score at 7 all. Phil Hoch followed with a walk, Passabile singled, Eric Lineman singled, Jason Schneider hit a fielder's choice to be followed by an RBI single with another run scored on an overthrow. Martin followed with a single to cap off Division's scoring.

The Dragons won their third and final game of the series 5-4 to take the series two games to one. Starter Ryan Darcy, with relief help from Flinn limited Glen Cove to four hits, while recording 12 strikeouts.

Division scored five times in the third. Alex Muniz had a two run single to knock in the tying and winning run. A big key to the Division victory was the key base running by John Roberts, Mike Garcia, and Mike Biolansky.

Next week the Blue Dragons have a big series against Garden City. Division will be home Tuesday and Friday and at Garden City on Wednesday. All three games start at 4:15 p.m.
