Coach John Lipani is pleased to report that the 7th grade girls basketball team just completed a successful season, with a record of 6-5. Highlights of the second half of the season were victories over Packard, Howitt, and Woodland.

In the game against Packard, the Wildcats jumped out to an 18-4 first quarter lead and never looked back as they went on to defeat Packard 45-34. Jen Johnson and Christina Buckley combined scored 16 of the Wildcats' 18 first quarter points. Lisa Alberti's 11 points, Meghan Moran's 6 points, and Samantha Smith's 6 points paced the Wildcats to victory. Jen McLeer, Amanda Halpern, and Erin Ray provided outstanding play for the team.

The Wildcats next went on to defeat Howitt 59-32. Lisa Alberti's 18 points and Christina Buckley's 15 points led the way for the Wildcats. Ashley Rogala's 6 points, Jen Johnson's 6 points, Shannon Signoriello's 4 points, and Lisa Uschakow's 4 points also helped key the victory. Jen Corcoran, Jen Rudolph, and Kristie Ryan provided outstanding play for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats then went on to defeat Woodland with a score of 47-28. Christina Buckley's 13 points and Lisa Alberti's 12 points led the team. Also chipping in was Samantha Smith with 5 points, Ashley Rogala with 4 points, and Lauren Buccello with 2 points. Tina Rigalos, Kristen Giudice, and Lisa Uschakow provided outstanding play in the Wildcats' victory.

Leading scorers of the year for the Wildcats were Lisa Alberti with 12 points per game, Christina Buckley with 10 points per game, Samantha Smith with 5 points per game, and Ashley Rogala with 5 points per game. Lisa Uschakow's 11.5 rebounds per game and Jen Johnson's 10 rebounds per game led the Wildcats in rebounding. Lipani would like to thank the girls for their hard work and dedication throughout the season. With all of the players returning and moving up to the 8th grade team, Wisdom Lane's basketball future looks very bright. The managers for this team were Greg Kenny and Rob Spauster.
