In a thrilling softball game, the Island Trees Lady Bulldogs no hit the Levittown Dragons. Jamie Pietrantoni struck out six and did not allow a hit. A three run sixth inning, highlighted by Elaine Koenig's three run triple, led the Lady Dawgs to the 3-0 shutout. Heatherly Maltezo threw out Division's first inning base runner after she reached base on a walk, which held Division runners in check throughout the game.

In an exciting and well-played game, the JV girls softball team defeated Division 3-0. The star of the game was eighth grader Chrissy DeMott who pitched a no-hitter.

The boys varsity track team had their first meet at North Shore and four boys scored in the standings. Racing against four other schools, Matt Hallas ran 5th in the mile, John D'Agostino fifth in the 100 meters. Rich Renner 5th in the 400 meters and Rich Staab also ran 5th in the 200 meters.

The girls varsity track team began their season at North Shore on Tuesday, March 31. Racing against five other schools, Tricia DelMonaco ran 8th in the 800 meters and Vanessa Militano ran 5th in the 3000 meters.

The boys varsity lacrosse team picked up the pace while defeating Division for the first time 7-4 in a non-league game. This coming off a hard-fought loss to New Hyde Park a couple of days before. The Bulldogs lost 10-6 with a close score throughout the game. John Lebrecht and Anthony Lagnese led the scoring with two goals apiece. Sophomore goalie Rich Cama was superb in net, recording 21 saves. In the game against Division, it was a great effort put forth by every player who secured the victory. James Sguigna and Mike Dvorznak led the way with two goals each. Dvorznak played an excellent game winning almost every face-off and picking up every ground ball. The defense was excellent holding Division to only four goals. The Bulldogs are extremely excited after this victory, but they intend to keep it going in non-league games against Hewlett and Bellmore JFK.
