There are 8,566 clubs total. The total membership in all the classes as of Jan. 1997, is 317,488. Total K-family membership is 558,768. The number of Kiwanis nations and geographic areas is 79.

Did you know that Kiwanis is also a worldwide club? The club's current project is to wipe out Iron Deficiency Disorders in the world. Our club believes that we can do just that. With over 8,000 clubs worldwide, we are sure that we can. You see, we all work together.

Now, let's take that down a peg. Can you imagine the Levittown Kiwanis Club with a membership of 200 or so. There would be nothing that a group like that could not accomplish for its community. So come join us and help us reach our membership goal of 200 members by the year 2000.

Remember the summer is on its way. The Levittown Kiwanis Club gives out scholarships to high school seniors every year. They also send needy children from the community to Camp Kiwanis. Please send your donations for these worthwhile causes to: Kiwanis Club of Levittown, Inc., P.O. Box 152, Levittown, 11756. Please note on your check whether the funds are for scholarships, summer camp, or both. The more we collect, the more we can do for the people of Levittown.

Do you have any unused food coupons from the Sunday paper? Please collect them and drop them off at one of our meetings. They are used for the Head Start Program.
