Free Healthwalk/Racewalk Classes and Workouts
Classes offered by the New York Walkers Club free of charge. Learn techniques in healthwalking and racewalking. Classes are held on Saturdays in front of the Field House in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow at 8 a.m. Following class, members take part in group workouts, according to ability. At 9 a.m. the groups meet for a cool-down stretching. Dress for the weather. Wear comfortable workout wear and walking/running shoes. Singles, couples and interested walkers of all ages invited. Nassau County Medical Center Needs Volunteers
The Auxiliary Dept. at NCMC needs volunteers in the gift shop, at the information desk and as greeters in the lobby for a new program which will be initiated in the Security Dept. Anyone interested should be 14 years of-age or older and must make a commitment to come in at least three hours per week. A physical is required prior to acceptance. Although they will be placed according to need, the auxiliary makes an effort to match volunteers` interests and skill with their assigned jobs. Call NCMC`s Auxiliary Dept. 572-6588.
Shalom Club for Senior Citizens

Singers Needed

Christmas Party Benefit
The Branding Iron, 2237 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh, will hold its Fourth Annual Christmas Benefit Party beginning at 3 p.m. with Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York as one of two benefiting charities. Hosted by the rock group Troubled Loners (featuring former members Big Dogs That Talk), the benefit will feature guest performances by members of the music groups Blue Avenue, Groove Kings, Inity Rebel Rockers, Phil Varca and the Slamjammers, Frankie Walker and more.
