Consistent, Careful Deliberation

Editor's Note: The following tribute to retiring board member Kathy Becker, approved by the Island Trees Board of Education on Dec. 3, was forwarded to the Trib for publication.

Whereas Mrs. Kathy Becker was elected to the Island Trees Board of Education in May, 1992 and served two consecutive terms as a trustee, and

Whereas Mrs. Becker's performance has been one of consistent, careful deliberation and action that has aided in the improvement of staff curriculum and course offerings, and

Whereas Mrs. Becker has striven to support the need for quality education, tempered with sound fiscal management, and

Whereas Mrs. Becker has staunchly supported the need for capital programs and long-range planning which has resulted in physical plant improvement throughout the district, and

Whereas Mrs. Becker has served the community well as a Board Trustee and has faithfully dedicated herself to improving programs for Island Trees youngsters,

Now therefore it be resolved that Mrs. Kathy Becker be cited for her numerous contributions to the educational programs and to the youngsters of the Island Trees School District.
