At Hofstra Dec. 6

The Empire State Bowl, the first college bowl game ever held on Long Island, will pit the Nassau Community College Lions against a nationally-ranked junior college on Dec. 6 at Hofstra Stadium in Hempstead. The Lions have maintained a top-ten ranking in the national junior college polls for most of the season.

The game begins at 1 p.m. Tickets, priced at $5 for adults and $3 for children, are now on sale. A portion of the revenues raised at the event will go to the United States Organization for Disabled Athletes, a Nassau County-based charity which promotes and supports training and competition for physically disabled athletes of all ages throughout the country.

For additional information call USODA at 485-3701 or the Nassau Community College Athletics Department at 572-7522. The stadium is located on Hofstra's south campus off Hempstead Turnpike (Fulton Avenue).
