Toby Ingram, MacArthur High School
Senior Toby Ingram, captain of the MacArthur High School football teams, played both offense and defense for the Generals this season. Ingram was one of the leading tacklers and most consistent blockers on D. Described as a tough, hard-nosed player by his coaches, Ingram is counted on to keep his teammates "up" and involved in the game.
Ingram is also captain of MacArthur's championship wrestling team, having earned the spot in the ninth grade. He wrestles in the heavyweight division, where last year as a junior he placed third overall in the Nassau County championships.
Outside of athletics, Ingram was chosen by administrators and faculty members for the Peer Leader group. Peer Leaders are a group of seniors chosen for their leadership capabilities, the example they set in school and their willingness to help younger and new students adjust to high school life at MacArthur.
Academically, Ingram has an 80-plus average, scored well on his SATs and plans to attend Cortland State next year.
