Josephine Brady

Josephine Brady, 53, formerly of Levittown, died on Oct. 17, 1997. Born in Brooklyn, she worked for Bendix Corp. as a secretary and later for Grumman Corp., lastly as an administrator to the corporate director of security. Mrs. Brady was active in Grumman's CareCats, a community service volunteer program. She was also a member of many animal rescue groups, including Last Hope, the League for Animal Protection and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of LI. She volunteered in pet stores and animals shelters trying to place pets in homes. She is survived by her nephew Sean Weber. Services were held at St. Bede's Episcopal Church. Anna Irene "Rooney" Kelley (nee Wright), of Levittown, died on Oct. 24,1997. Wife of the late Richard. Mother of Michael, Patricia Nocerino, Timothy, Jane Tepe, Karen Urquhart and Anne. Grandmother of seven. Great-grandmother of four. Sister of Joyce Donohue. Arrangements were made by the Donohue Funeral Home, Westbury. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brigid's RC Church.
