Wisdom Lane Soccer Finishes at 5-3
This fall the Wisdom Lane Middle School Boy's Soccer team finished the season with five wins and three losses.
The coaching staff said the key to the soccer team's success was that it played well as a unit, was dedicated, and worked hard.
Steve Indelicato led the team with nine goals for the season. Daniel Blank scored six goals, David Lineman scored five goals, Steve Cleary had three and Brian Bozzo and Robert Chapman, each had a goal.
The strong offense was led by Chris Abate, George Argyrou, Liam and Mike Hughes, Matt Lansalato, Brendan McHugh, Steve Pugh and Roberto Uragano.
Solid Defense was led by Chris Bennett, Adrian Cabezas, Joseph Ferrante, Rami Hajjar, Bobby Howard, Mike Philbin, Joseph Pries and Brandon Rea. Outstanding goaltending came from Tim Coradro and Bill Nobile who were pivotal to the team's winning record which included a shutout.
Also paying outstanding goal was Frank Melios who came off of an injury to finish the last game of the season with a 4-0 victory over Packard.
