The newly renovated Parkville Branch of the Great Neck Library, at 10 Campbell St. in New Hyde Park, reopened on May 17 after a brief closure to paint and install new carpeting. Parkville’s staff worked closely with main library staff to make sure patron reserves were held or rerouted and that any returned books were cleared on time.
Jayne Alexander, the Parkville branch manager, credits Charles Wohlgemuth, head of maintenance, for the success of the project, and expresses much thanks and appreciation to staff at Parkville and Main for making the renovation/reopening a success. They worked hard to keep everything running smoothly while packing up the items in the building and moving them into temporary storage.
