The Village of New Hyde Park will hold village board meetings on Tuesdays, May 7 and 21 in Village Hall at 1420 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park at 8 p.m.
The New Hyde Park Zoning Board of Appeals will hold hearings on Wednesday, May 8 in Village Hall at1420 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park at 7:30 p.m.
Boy Scout Troop 544 will hold troop meetings on Wednesdays, May 8,15,22,29 at the Manor Oaks School from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

WEBELOS Woods is an outdoor program activity designed to aid in the WEBELOS to Scout transition plan. The purpose is to help form a desire to know more about Boy Scouting and give WEBELOS a preview of the thrills of Boy Scouting. WEBELOS Woods gives Scouts an opportunity to take a step up from Cub Scouting by camping as a Boy Scout Troop does. The weekend is designed as a Patrol activity, much like a Boy Scout Camporee. The boys and adults will be participating in archery, first aid training, knot tying and games, religious services, campfire program and more.
The New Hyde Park Running Club’s 36th annual 8K (4.97 Mile) a USA Track & Field LI Running, Race Walking, Individual & Team Grand Prix Championship Run/Walk will take place on Sunday, June 2, at the Denton Avenue School, on Denton Avenue. There is also a 1/4-mile children’s run, which starts at 8 a.m. The 8K (4.97 Mile) Run will kick off at 8:30 a.m. and the two-mile Fitness Walk starts at 8:35 a.m. Rain or shine.

•Boy Scout Troop 200 Of Williston Park meets every Monday between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church located at Willis Ave. and Winthrop St., Williston Park. Boys 11 to 17 are welcome to join.
•Irish American Society Social Gatherings every Monday at the Irish American Center, 297 Willis Ave., Mineola, from noon to 3 p.m. In the tradition and mission of the Irish American Society, we are here to make all welcome and be part of the local community. •Look Good...Feel Better sponsored by LIJ Medical Center in association with the National Cosmetology Association, the Toiletry Fragrance Association and the American Cancer Society. The program reaches out to women with cancer and teaches them how to best apply makeup and wear their hair while undergoing cancer treatment.
