The River Sharks came out attacking for their first game of the season! It was a nail biter of a game that ended in 7 innings. The River Sharks played an awesome game despite our loss of 7-6. Great on the mound were Justin DiDonato, Frank Disanto, Brian Haug and Peter Coletti. James Messina was a star on second base and at the plate. Ross Crames was a star at the plate with a triple. He also was a star at first base. Frankie Suppa hit a line drive to center field and advanced runners. Joseph Pagan, Giovanni Castelli, James Messina and Frankie Suppa were great behind the plate.
The home game opener thrilled spectators with a dramatic come from behind win over the solid Pride. Outstanding pitching from the Ducks' Justin Marder, Adeel Bari, & Ben Lee helped achieve the opening win. Behind the plate, Mike Lopez & Michael Kemmet gave solid catching performances. Good fielding efforts by Brett Dieber, Justin Roth, Ethan Volk, Tom Kemmet & Evan Clark enabled the Ducks to hold the Pride to 4 runs. Offense for the Ducks came alive in the 3rd inning with a series of hits, stolen bases, bunts, & a HR. Adeel Bari, Mike Lopez, Thomas Kemmet, Evan Clark, Justin Marder, Brett Dieber, Ben Lee, Ethan Volk, Michael Kemmet, & Justin Roth all contributed to hammer out a total of 6 runs for the win. Brennan Scanlon and Andrew Curcio are on the DL, we wish them a speedy recovery.
