Herricks Center Street PTA hosted the school's 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Jericho Terrace in Mineola. Over 160 guests enjoyed a fun-filled evening of dining, dancing, trivia contests, live entertainment and chances to win over 65 raffle baskets and 12 grand prizes worth a combined value of more than $10,000. The highlight of the evening was a sensational American Bandstand-style performance by "Eddie and the SmartBoards" (a/k/a Principal, Mr. Edward Bellomo and the Center Street Staff).

Center Street's Principal, Mr. Edward Bellomo, along with PTA President Nanette Marchelos and PTA co-Vice Presidents and Chairpersons Laura Andreacchi and Maria Mule.

These very talented performers moved and grooved to the music of the King of Rock and Roll, while Mr. Bellomo sang his renditions of four of Elvis Presley's top hit songs. Each attendee received a gift bag containing products and savings promotions. Thank you to the Center Street Staff, families and friends and to the local merchants and others for their generous donations of raffle prizes. All proceeds from this fundraising event benefit all 580-plus students at the Center Street School. Once again, a fabulous time was had by all!
