The Merillon Mariners 9-10 year old All-Stars completed a great summer of baseball this past week with the second of two championships and a runner-up finish at HBQVB. The first was on Friday July 18th with the Williamsport District 28 Championship at Kelleher Field in Williston Park. It was a complete team effort with great pitching, superb defense and timely hitting. With victories over Port Washington 12-2, Manhasset 2-0 and East Williston 6-5 and 6-1 in the championship game Merillon proved hard to score on.
