Assemblyman Thomas McKevitt, in conjunction with Long Island Blood Services and the New Hyde Park Fire Department, will be sponsoring a blood drive on July 28th from 2-7 p.m. at the Firehouse, located at 1555 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park.

Long Island Blood Services will give every donor a free pair of Mets tickets. Donors must have a valid I.D., know their Social Security number, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be at least 16 years of age (with parental permission). Please call 1-800-688-0900 if you have questions regarding medical eligibility.

"Blood is a precious resource that can save lives, and I encourage all community members to donate," Assemblyman McKevitt said.

Those who wish to donate blood are asked to call Assemblyman McKevitt's office at 739-5119 to schedule an appointment.
