At a gala dinner, held at The Inn at New Hyde Park, New Hyde Park Chamber President Chris Vulpis handed over the presidential gavel to Richard DeMartino. DeMartino is a vice president and manager of State Bank of Long Island in New Hyde Park. Both his wife and daughter were in attendance at the ceremonies as Nassau County Legislator Richard Nicolello of New Hyde Park did the swearing-in honors.

The chamber also installed the following:

First Vice President Stewart Small, Second Vice President Ralph Ventura, Third Vice President Mark Laytin and Fourth Vice President Jeanette Frisina, Treasurer Ann Joyce and Secretary John W. Gebbie, Sr.

The newly installed New Hyde Park Board of Directors includes: Reena Gulati, Joseph Mazza, Rocco Orlando and Cheryl Fajardo.

Also present to celebrate the new president and the new board was New Hyde Park Village Mayor Daniel Petruccio, along with Deputy Mayor Robert Lofaro and trustee Richard Coppola.

Many businessmen and women in the community were present to congratulate the new president and his board.
