Opinion

Scholars have pondered for years the meaning of Christmas.

It has been depicted as giving, caring and loving.

The thing that most stands out, however, in my mind are the words of a very old song that was included in a Christmas Album, I have no idea of the name, but the words, as closely as I recall, are something like this.....

"It's not the glow you feel when snow appears

Or the little Christmas card you've sent for years

Not the joyful sound when sleigh bells ring, or the joyful song that children sing...

The little gift you send on Christmas Day will not bring back a friend you've sent away....

So, may I suggest, the secret of Christmas, is not the things you do at

Christmastime, but the Christmas things you do all through the year..."

That says it all ... Merry Christmas!
