November 23 - Boys U7 Wildcats
On a cold & chilly day after Thanksgiving, our boys played their hearts out and came in tied for third place with a 0-1-3 record. An 8am start versus the Albertson Tornadoes was nip & tuck until an errant pass turned into the Tornadoes only shot on goal and a 1-0 loss for the Wildcats. Their second game was against BW Gottschee where excellent teamwork by Kevin Alvarado, Evan Bandini, Sean Kerwin & Thomas Donnelly propelled the boys to a 3-1 first half lead. Unfortunately, a few bad bounces and a penalty kick knotted the score at 3. The third game of the day was against the Dix Hills Stingrays where an excellent defensive effort of Christian Morales, Matthew Morales & Matthew O'Neill coupled with great goaltending by Jack Lynch ended in a 1 all tie. The last game of the day pitted the boys against the East Islip Explosion. Strong offensive play by Stephen Pappacena in tandem with the superb goaltending of Andrew Higgins again resulted in a 1 all tie. The boys displayed excellent teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day!!
