A crisp fall afternoon found many a soccer game going on at Harbor Links.

GCP Lady Liberty defeated East Islip in a closely matched and competitive game. The first half of the game both teams went back and forth with Lady Liberty clearly dominating the field. However, with each attempt on goal Lady Liberty was stopped. East Islip's defense was strong and seemed unbreakable. Liberty's defensive team, Erica Antonison and Alyssa Tagios were incredible allowing few shots on goal and nothing allowed past the net.

Emanuela Castellano danced around Islip's offense, using speed and footwork, showing her amazing skills on the field. Kristen Morales at mid-field kept Islip running in circles to no avail. But it was Bridget McHugh's long drive punt that floated down the field and into the top corner of the net that put Lady Liberty up by one with four minutes left in the game. A win well deserved! Well done girls!
