The Gigi Italian Restaurant "Yankees" Vs. Wilson, Elser "Braves"

Slugger Awards this week go to Luke Tesoriero, Lawrence Lin, C.J. Riccobonno, Madaline Slaski & Daniella Connor. Gold Glove Awards went to Christopher Carbone, Sean O'Conner, Una Reid & C.J. Riccobonno. Sean Fishbien is playing a steady 2nd base and had several hits. Patrick McTiernan caught the whole game, making some nice plays behind the plate and getting key hits. Jacob Raphael continues his steady hitting.

ABC Rental "Mets" Vs. Gigi Italian Restaurant "Yankees"

The Mets have come along way this season with their hitting and fielding. Joseph Griffin, John Napolitano & Scott Schanter all went 3 for 4. Bailey Lee went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's and Eleni Polichronakis went 1 for 2 with a run scored. Although Garrison Long went 1 for 4 with an RBI, he hit the ball harder than he did all season, way to go Garrison! Lastly, Spencer Horowitz almost wore out his glove he fielded so many balls.

The Gigi Italian Restaurant "Yankees" Vs. ABC Rental "Mets"

The Yankees are coming together as a team, with everyone contributing. Big hits came from the top to the bottom of the batting order, with Christian Ugolini, Luke Tesoriero & Daniella Connor driving in runs. C.J. Riccobonno had a big hit to the outfield & Sean O'Conner scored 2 runs. We had solid hitting from Sean Fishbien, Patrick McTiernan, Jacob Raphael, Lawrence Lin, Madaline Slaski & Una Reid. Christopher Carbone had a nice put out at home plate and Una Reid had a nice unassisted put out at 1st base.

New Hyde Park Funeral Home "Cardinals"

Vs. Ridgewood Savings Bank "Phillies"

The Rockies continue to hit hard but they also play good defense. David Lapidus made sparkling plays all over the field, at the pitchers mound, the outfield & catcher & had 4 hits as well. Jared Schwartz & Brian Park led the offense with hard hit doubles. Harris Monoson & Justin DiDonato had multiple hits with one a being a triple & Justin added a Homer. James Castaldi & Nicholas DiMaria stayed hot, James with 3 hits & Nicholas with 2 hits & 2 RBI. Back to the defense, Vincent Rossello was strong behind the plate, Connor Wong play well at pitcher & 2nd, Andrew Colgan made a nice hustle play and throw from the outfield.

Sperry Associates "Ducks" (12) Vs. Williston Park (3)

Pitching & defense ruled the day, as the Ducks made a nifty 5-2-3 double play to stop a scoring opportunity. Domenick Fazzolari started it with a nice play at 3rd, nailed the runner at home, and catcher Evan Rabinowitz caught the runner between 1st & 2nd, got him in a rundown to end the rally. Pitchers Chris, Alex & Ryan shut down the WP's offense, allowing just 5 hits & striking out 10. The offense was led by Chris Ferlazzo (single, HR, 2 rbi, 2 runs, 2 SB), Domenick Fazzolari (triple, rbi), Ryan Marder (HR run, 2 singles, 2 rbi, 2 SB, 2 runs), Vinny LaBruna (walk, run, rbi), Alex Montalvo (single, double, run, SB of home), Evan Clark (3 singles, 2 runs, 3 SB, rbi), Chris Sacino (single, run SB), Evan Rabinowitz (single, walk, run, 2 SB), Stephan Eranovic (single, walk, run, rbi), Peter Ferrante (rbi), and Andy Ferrante single, run, SB).

Vs. Roslyn (7)

The Diamonds won their 1st playoff game with hard hitting, aggressive base running and good pitching. The first 5 hitters scored to start the game, with Theresa Zuschlag knocking in 2 & Stephanie Donovan knocking in 1. Jesse Zabicki had 2 nice bunt hits & Krys Abberton stroked a couple of hits. Jess Thomas had a couple of walks, steals & runs to ignite the offense. The good pitching came from Ashley Kimkowski (2 innings & the win) and Melissa Mastrodis (2 innings & the save). The defense saw goods play from Gabby Barilli, Jennifer McHale & Melissa Feliciano.

Vs. Rockville Ctr (5)

The girls finished a successful fall season battling to the last out. Jennifer McHale got the team's 1st hit to start a 4 run rally in the 6th inning. Gabby Tagios was in the middle of the big rally with a timely hit & Krys Abberton knocked in a run. Jess Thomas' clutch pitching kept the game close (3 innings, 0 runs) giving the team a chance. The other pitchers doing a fine job were Melissa Mastorodis (M&M) & Melissa Feliciano. Gabby Barilli's fine plays at 2nd & Ashley Kimkowski's nifty play at 3rd also helped to keep the game close. Stephanie Donovan, Theresa Zuschlag & Jesse Zabicki, all played hard and gave their best.

New Hyde Park Funeral Home "Yankees" Vs. LI Braves

Fall was in the air, but the Merillon Yankees were hot, defeating a very good LI Brave team 8-7. Andrew Pugliese pitched a complete game, and had the winning walk off single in the last inning! Aaron Brenner had 3 hits! Brian Renta collected 2 hits! Vinny Labruna's bat is coming alive! The infield was held tight by Nick Simeole, Michael Ring & Joe Carbone! The outfield was patrolled by Michael Glaser, Peter LaDuca & Eric Ditmier.
