Wilson,Elser "Braves" Vs. ABC Rental "Mets"

Both teams came to play and play hard they did. The Braves defense was stellar, Joseph Dampman and Alex Russo teamed up for 3 straight put outs to end the first inning with out allowing a run to score. Sean McClellan made a spectacular shoe string catch which he turned into an unassisted double play. Sean McClellan also led the Braves offense with 3 hits.

Gigi Italian Restaurant "Yankees" Vs. ABC Rental "Mets"

The Yankees continued their torrid hitting attack this week. Leading the way were CJ Riccobonno, Sean Fishbien & Sean O' Conner, each with 2 RBI's each. Other Slugger Awards go to Chris Carbone, Madeline Slaski, Luke Tesoriero, Una Reid all with one RBI each and Christian Ugolini & Stephen Albertini getting solid hits. Gold Glove Awards this week go to Patrick McTiernan, CJ Riccobonno, Sean Fishbien, Sean O'Conner & Luke Tesoriero, all making really nice plays in the field.

NHP Funeral Home "Cardinals" Vs. BAB Mechanical Services Inc. "Indians"

The red hot Cardinals had 22 hits, 8 for extra bases, led by James Castaldi's double. Harris Monoson had 4 hits & 3 doubles and the bash boys Vincent Rossello & Gregory Donovan hit HRs. Justin DiDonato stayed hot with 3 hits, with one being a triple and 8th extra base hit came from Andrew Colgan and his double. Other hot hitters were Nichols DiMaria, 3 hits & Connor Wong, 2 hits. The Cardinals also have a good defense, Brian Park played multiple positions including catcher and did well at all of them. William Ban is a short stop in the making and he played a good outfield as well.

Sperry Associates "Ducks" (15) Vs. Manhasset (10)

The high-flying Ducks got on their game early, Chris Ferlazzo led off with a triple to left, Alex Montalvo knocked him in with a single. Vinny LaBruna smacked the 1st pitch for a 2 run HR to expand the lead to 3-0. Evan Clark & Katie Giesecke walked, Evan Rabinowitz drove in the Ducks 4th run. Peter Ferrante singled to load the bases & Domenick Fazzolari drew a walk to give the Ducks a 5-0 lead. Manhasset came right back scoring 4 in the bottom of the inning. The mighty Ducks went back to work. Andy Ferrante & Chris F singled, each stealing a base. Alex lined a shot to right to score 2. Vinny doubled home Alex, Evan C singled him to 3rd and Katie again walked to load the bases. Evan R ripped a liner to right to score 2 more for a 10-4 lead. Manhasset refused to give up, scoring 4 on a grand-slam to again keep it close. The next inning Stephan Eranovic walked & stole 3 bases to score a run. Alex Montalvo singled, stole 3 bases to score another. After 3 more walks, Chris Sacino lined a single to center to score 2 more and put the game away.

Girls Majors Softball

Bagels N a Hole Lot more, Garden City Park, "Diamonds" (14) Vs. Hicksville (7)

Melissa Feliciano was the winning pitcher today going 3 strong innings. The save went to Theresa Zuschlag, who also pitched 3 strong innings. The Diamonds played all aspects of the game well today, hitting, fielding and base running to go along with the good pitching. The hitting was led by Jess Thomas who hit a 1st inning grand slam & Melissa Mastrodis hit a double. The Diamonds were running at will and stole a ton of bases, led by Jennifer McHale, 2 stolen bases, as did Gaby Barilli & Gabby Tagios stole home. The defense was strong with many fine plays, led by Jessie Zabicki at 2nd base, Chrys Abberton at short stop, Ashley Kimkowski at 3rd base and outfielder Stephanie Donovan.
