The NHP Cyclones 14U won their second consecutive HBQVB Tournament Title. The NHP Cyclones went 5-0 to capture the title. The NHP Cyclones beat the host team HBQVB 6-4 in the title game. The NHP Cyclones had five complete games pitched by five different starters. The NHP Cyclones opened the tournament with a powerful 16-2 win over the Levittown Central "B" squad. The second game was classic battle with the Franklin Square Seminoles; the final score was 4-2 Cyclone victory. Game three the NHP Cyclones beat HBQVB with a come back 7-6 win. Game four was the semi-finals. The NHP Cyclones had another come back win over the Levittown Central "A" team, the final score 8-6. In the title game the NHP Cyclones trailed until the bottom of the 6th when the Cyclones scored 3 times to take the lead. The Cyclones shut the door in the top of the 7th to take the title for the second consecutive year
The NHP Cyclones also won the Western Division title in the prestigious Connie Mack, Sandy Koufak division this summer. The NHP Cyclones compiled a regular season record of 16-4. The NHP Cyclones lost in the semi-finals to the LI Owls. In addition the NHP Cyclones have qualified for playoffs in the Glen Cove Mayors' Trophy Tournament.
The NHP Cyclones will be traveling out to Suffolk County next weekend to play in the "Ed Rall Memorial Tournament" run by SYAG. The 2007 NHP Cyclones players are Stephen Ambrosio, James Bicerrio, Kevin Caldas, Jonathan Dennett, Alex Fabian, Scott Hounsell, Patrick McGonigle, J.T. O'Callaghan, Aris Stillidias, Richard Thornton, Kevin Towey, David Velazquez, Kenny Wilcox and Robert Wisnewski.
