Opinion

The residents of New Hyde Park are not only losing an inspirational spiritual leader, but a true and loyal friend when Pastor Eric Olsen and his family move from Gloria Dei Church, on New Hyde Park Road, to the City of Buffalo.

Pastor Olsen not only has been a supporter of New Hyde Park and all of its events, he has also been a very active member of the New Hyde Park Fire Department and attends all of their major events as well. He has been generous with his time and with his expressions of support and kindness not just to his church congregation, but to everyone he encounters.

We, at the Illustrated News, would like to take this opportunity to wish Pastor Olsen, his wife and his son all the best as he embarks on his new mission. Buffalo's gain is truly New Hyde Park's loss.
