Boys U8 teams go Undefeated
It was sunny skies and a lot of heat, but that didn't slow down the Boys u8 wildcats at all. Both teams went to the Plainedge Father's Day Tournament and when everything was said and done, they both walked away champions taking first place in their respective divisions. The boys in the red division were coached by coaches Eric Lorandini and James Carrick. The players Matthew Vowinkel, Alex Bracco, Matty Lorandini, Christian Carrick, Brian Saramago, Jack Nutall, Nevin Nambiar and Yanni Rigos. After both days of intense playing the boys walked away with a 5-0 record and only gave up two goals the whole tournament. The green division team's coaches were John Fazekas and Dan Kilcullen and their team was Nicholas Favale, Fernando Robayo, Zachary Fazekas, John Kilcullen, Jose Marulanda, Ricky Marchelos, Greg Donvan and Mark Niewierowski. They also finished with a 5-0 record and ended up just having one goal from an opposing player scored against them in two days. The boys passing, receiving, offense, defense and goal tending was so good that teams started to come over and scout them just to see what they could do to slow them down. As it turns out, the boys were just exceptional in every aspect and deserved to walk away being called champions. Congratulations boys, you deserve what you earned. Thank you to the parents for allowing us the privilege of coaching your talented children.
