Stutzmann Funeral Home "Mets"
The fielding was led by Timon Chow, Stephen Farishian, Justin Kuzler, Collin Cookand Anthony Treadwell. Offensively, the Mets showed their power with big hits from sluggers Robbie Booth, Jason Biviano, Collin Cheung, Jordan Chin & Christopher Kerrane. The Mets improved their line-up this week with the addition of two new prospects, Raymond Gresalfi & Richard Kaders.
ABC Rental "Dodgers" Vs. Sperry Associates "Nationals"
Working on fundamentals is showing up during game time execution. Bailey Lee, Joseph Griffin & Matthew Rivera are starting to field their positions and make good throws to first base. Peter Vayias has shown natural ability around the bag at first. William Birkdale & Francesco Stigliano's throwing has improved & their confidence is rising. Christopher Bruccoleri, Nicolas Capelle & Cristian Vincente have been running the bases well and know where to go before the coaching staff gives them the go ahead. Lawrence Lin & Nicolas Ryan and Scott Schanter all are hitting the ball off the tee with more consistency during game situations.
Sperry Associate "Nationals"
Our infielders were Christopher, CJ, Dave, Garrison and Luke. Our outfielders were Andrew, Brendan, Jonathan and Van Dyke. Coach R. worked on soft toss hitting drills with Christopher,CJ and Jonathan. These guys had their hitting shoes on today.
Dennett Law "Giants"
The team charged into batting practice, with Jake Raphael, Dylan Kareff & Jason Beeferman drilling balls over the fences. During fielding drills Sam Chiche flashed some solid leather & Eric Maddenberg stretched out his arm with some long-toss. The Giants put everything together during the game, defensive highlights included Timothy Lee backhanding a scorching grounder, Spencer Kern digging out a short-hop throw to first & Phillip Menist completing a 3-man relay at 3rd base. Lead-off batter Spencer Horowitz got things going with an infield hit, while Jake Blancher earned an RBI hitting a laser beam up the middle. On the base paths, Sam Ugolini ran so fast to 1st base that his helmet came off!
The Virgilio Chiropractic "Power Puffs"
Daniella Connor had some good solid base hits up the middle during the practice game. She also fielded a few balls at 3rd base very well. Isabella Fazzolari continues to make solid contact with her bat and played a good shortstop position, making some good throws to 1st base. Eleni Polichronakis is swinging the bat well, making good contact with the baseball off the T. She hustles in the field, scooping up ground balls. Una Reid continues to show good skills in hitting the ball and fielding her position.

Vs. J&K Electrical Contracting Corp. "Heat"
The star of the game was Christine Vissichelli going 4-4 and playing solid defense. The girls back up Christine with some offensive power from Nicole K., Kristen R., Logan W., and Melissa T. The defense was solid with Jessica V., Natalie P., Camryn D., Marianna V., Katie D., and Mickela Z. The Dragons are playing well and are improving every day.

Vs. Knights of Columbus "Dragons"
The hot bats were led by Mariella Facibene, Emma Quinn, Sophia Leeds, & Maria Pesiri, each girl contributed by knocking in a run. Sophie Robinson had 2 hits, scored a run, and made many nice fielding attempts at the pitching position. Theresa Mattei, Monica Mattei, Camryn Finkel, & Justine Kraus, had some nice cuts at the plate but the sun made it hard to see the pitching. Hard hitting Elise Gonzales had 2 hits scoring our first run. Krysta Sollecito & Emily Budhram each had a nice hit and Emily scored a run. Our fielding was really on target today with some great put outs by Mariella Facibene (2) and Sophia Leeds (1). Emma Q., Camryn F., Krysta S., & Maria P. each took turns in the catching position.
May 4
Knights of Columbus #2852 Vs. Mineola 2
The stars of the game both going 4-4 and playing unbelievable defensive were Kristen Renta & Natalie Patrey. Great job girls! The rest of the offensive explosion came from Jessica V., Nicole K., Christine V. & Allison S. We had remarkable fielding from Camryn D., Melissa T., Logan W., Mickela Z., & Marianna V., as well as the rest of the team. The Dragons looked great this evening and the coaches were really impressed.
Broadway Plaza Hotel "Racers"
The team has a terrific bunch of ladies - Lily Kimmel as our superstar 1st baseman, Emily Hartmann, Christina Ferrante, & Jessica Weiss have been terrific beside the pitcher's mound, and our strong fielders include Vanessa Lamoretti, Samantha Strocchia, Parker Spector-Salwen, June Chu, Brianna Rotonda, Cameron Weinbaum, Marisa Menist & Shayna Zeitlin. We have played, Glen Oaks, Mineola and the other Merillon team. It has been fun, competitive and very active. Our girls have scored in the double digits each game! mailto:weinbaum1@aol.com

Wilson Elser"Roadsters" Vs. Andrea LoRusso-Pesiri, DC "Bandits"
Right away the Bandits pushed the envelope against the Roadsters, who battled back in the last inning, but fell short in losing our 2d game 13-6. The one woman highlight for the roadsters was Danielle Michaels, who pitched 2 strong innings and smacked a hot double. Otherwise, our hot bats fell silent against a strong Bandit defense that seemed to find every ball hit by Roadsters bats. Still, our team played hard to the end to make it close.

Emily DeMeo started on the mound for the Thunder against a hot hitting Roadster squad. It was the offense that shined for the Thunder with Amanda DiMaria, Nicole Rossello, Carolyn DiMaria & Caitlin Mahon leading the onslaught with 2 hits a piece. Laura Roantree, Emily Abel & Emily DeMeo joined in with a hit each. Caitlin Mahon & Nicole Rossello did a fine job pitching in relief with 4 K's.

Fastrackids "Twins" Vs. Grant Thornton "Dodgers"
Outstanding fundamentals were shown in the field by Jack Lynch, Brian O'Reagan & Allesandro Drudi. Casey Donohue continues to be a candidate for ESPN's Web Gems with another amazing diving catch at shortstop. Big hits continue to come from this gritty lineup of Christopher Kilcullen, Max Dienes, Michael Mellone, Nicholas Reda & Michael Smith. Nicholas Kurdziel and Bryan Nankoo made solid contributions on the field and at the plate.
Grant Thornton "Dodgers" Vs. Fastrackids "Twins"
Billy Schillinger, Michael Kurre & John Denara made super defensive plays in the rain. Michael Zuschlag, Jimmy Denara, Stephen Deverteuil & Luke Pullo had big hits for Grant Thornton Dodgers. Both teams played great despite the rain.
April 29
Fastrackids "Twins" Vs. New Hyde Park Elks "Mets"
The fielders were very busy today, Michael Mellone, Bryan Nankoo, Michael Smith & Nicholas Kurdziel. Key put outs were turned in by Max Dienes, Christopher Kilcullen & Jack Lynch. The bats were swinging and making good contact as usual. Key hits were made by Allesandro Drudi and Brian O'Reagan. Casey Donohue was solid at the plate as well as defensively. Great improvement in all aspects of the game continues from this wonderful group of kids who come out every game and give it their all.
Sperry Associates "Nationals" Vs. Grant Thornton "Dodgers"
The Grant Thornton Dodgers continued making big defensive plays especially ones by Sean O'Leary, Andrew Colgan & John Denara. Michael Kurre, James Castaldi, Kyle Waibel & Billy Schillinger led the Dodger's offense with timely hitting. Both teams played well and had fun.
May 4
Modell's "Braves" Vs. Dr. Barbaro "Cubs"
The Braves once again displayed an awesome combination of offense and defense. The defense was led by Jordan Greiff, Anthony Pitre, Harry Schildkraut & Jack Tucker. Offensive firepower was turned in by Brian Volk, Ryan Cooney, Matt Portnoy, Lucas Cowen & Matthew Solomon.
May 6
Dr. Barbaro's "Cubs" Vs. Grant Thornton "Dodgers"
Solid hits by all the Dodgers scored many runs. Solid outfield hits by Andrew Colgan, Michael Kurre, Sean O'Leary, John Denara, James Castaldi, Jimmy Denara, & Michael Zuschlag coupled with infield hits by Billy Shillinger, Luke Pullo, Michael Zuschlag, Kyle Waibel & Dylan Figueroa led the run scoring. Luke Pullo & Sean O'Leary celebrated their birthdays on the field and demonstrated great defense. Also strong fielding by Michael Zuschlag, Andrew Colgan & Sean O'Leary led the defense.
Modell's "Braves" Vs. New Hyde Park Elks "Mets"
Heads-up defense was turned in by Ross Schechter, Matthew Solomon & Phillip Kashman. The Braves got timely hits from Ryan Cooney, Matt Portnoy & Lucas Cowen, and the power was supplied by the potent foursome of Brian Volk, Jack Tucker, Anthony Pitre & Jordan Greiff. Jordan also came up with the defensive play of the season so far with a diving grab of a pop fly.

The City Line Florist "Indians" Vs. Baxter's Sport Shop "Yankees"
Lead by the strong pitching of Gregory Haynes, Tyler Ng & Matthew O'Connor the Indians are tough to score on. On offense we were lead by Brendan Sullivan who homered in the 1st inning, James Messina who has now homered from both sides of the plate and Brandon Gottlieb who had 2 home runs. Our other hitting stars included Ryan O'Donnell & Jake Secker. They were supported by solid defense from Joseph Leonardo & Matthew Ferrante.
May 1

Vs. Mike's New Hyde Park Convenience Store "Rockies"
The Indians faced a good opponent in the Rockies but again the Indians strong pitching and offense were on display. Lead by the strong pitching of James Messina, Gregory Haynes, Tyler Ng & Matthew O'Connor the Indians were tough to score on. On offense we were lead by Brendan Sullivan who homered for the 2nd time in 3 games, Ryan O'Donnell, Jacob Niederman & Justin DiDanato. The defense was also solid with Brandon Gottlieb, Matthew Ferrante, Joseph Leonardo & Jake Secker.

Vs. Skanska USA Building Inc. "Brewers"
The Angels' bats were led by Michael Lopez (3 run HR), Peter Restivo (2 2Bs, 2 RBI) & Jake Guggenheimer (3B, 2 RBIs) who all showed impressive pop. Ryan O'Hare got on base each time up knocking in 2 RBIs. Michael Telsey, Jared Kossover, Thomas Fitzgerald & Nick Campanella set the table scoring 2 runs each. David Lapidus & Christian Carrick shined on the mound striking out 2 in an inning each. Jared Schwartz & Eric Rennie made contributions with their bats & gloves. A great game both at the plate and on the mound earned Michael T. the game ball.

Vs. Virgilio Chiropractic "Angels"
It was Nick Zovich's base hit up the middle in the bottom of the 5th that drove in Andrew Krotinsky for the go ahead run in a 17-16, walk off victory for the Brewers. The Brewers used this outing to field 5 new pitchers who had yet to show their stuff this season. Pitchers Nick Zovich, Brendan Nolty, Alexander Lutsky, Francesco Labita & Anthony Kimkowski showed some real heart and did their best to keep the hard hitting Angels at bay. On offense, Yanni Rigos had a 3 run homer in the 1st & Andrew Krotinsky had a triple in the 4th. Alexander Lutsky & Brendan Nolty both had 2 RBI's and Erik Jacklitsch added an RBI. Adding to the run production were, Joe Dunn, (single, 2alk); Adam Krieger (3 walks); Andrew Kraus (2 walks).

Vs. The City Line Florist "Indians"
The Rockies tried hard against the Indians, with valiant pitching efforts from James Colgan, Anthony Lanzilotta & Gregory Donovan. The defense had a lot of work led by, Vincent Rossello, Jack Mangin & Lou Plomitallo. The offense saw Chris Vietri knock in a run and Jacob Leeds and Michael Husch contributed with 2 walks a piece.
May 3

Vs. The Baxter's Sport Shop "Yankees"
The Phillies started the game with some hot bats, Nick Winkhart, Jack Belmonte & Andrew Filocoma all reached base. Then Jordan Lempert stepped up to the plate and launched a Grand Slam to the delight of the fans. Brendan Montenegro was awarded the game ball for his offensive play (3 BB, 3 SB). The Phillies pitching was strong with shutout innings from Steven Cascio, Justin Roth & David Kimmel. The defense was solid with the play of James Cotumaccio, Joshua Putter & Corey Rutkin. This Philly team is looking good and has a 3 game winning streak.
Ace Hardware "Marlins" Vs. Brancato "Rangers"
There were numerous contributors to the Marlins success. The hitting leaders were Tyler Baron with 2 hits and a walk & Reid Alper with 2 hits including a booming double. Cameron Pon, David West & Peter Tagios reached base 3 times. Slate Dvoor, Jake Raher & Michael Varrone each tossed a scoreless inning. There were several great fielding plays.
May 5
City Line Florist "Indians" Vs. Ridgewood Savings Bank "Giants"
The Indians faced a tough Giants team but again the Indians strong pitching and offense were on display. Lead by the strong pitching of Gregory Haynes, Tyler Ng, Justin Di Donato, Jake Secker & Ryan O'Donnell the Giants were held to only a few runs. The Indians continued to show off the power as Tyler Ng & James Messina homered & Brandon Gottlieb, Joseph Leonardo, Jacob Niederman & Brenden Sullivan chipped in as well.

Vs. New Hyde Park Funeral Home "Diamondbacks"
Michael Lopez & Jake Guggenheimer had 2 double's, 3 RBIs each leading a strong Angels' attack. Michael Telsey got on base each time up scoring 3 runs. Eric Rennie, Jared Schwartz & David Lapidus also help set the table. The pitching was led by Christian Carrick & Nick Campanella both striking out the side while on the mound. David L. also turned in his usual strong pitching performance holding the D'backs at bay until Michael L. came in to close the door with 2 K's in the 6th. Jared Kossover chipped in an RBI and his usual solid "D". The clutch hitting of Eric & his great play at 3rd base earned him the game ball.
Baxter Sport Shop "Yankees" Vs. Brancato "Rangers"
Abdeel Bari pitched the first 2 innings. His fast ball is always a fan pleaser. John Kilcullen was his relief pitcher, pitching one of his finest games of his young career. Franke Saladino's consistent pitching kept the Rangers off base in the last innings. The field work by Antonio Prunella was unstoppable. There were great hits by RJ Donohue, Mohammed Kidway & Jake Ginsberg leading to RBI's by Matthew Vowinkle & Eric Mollin.
Skanska USA Building, Inc. "Brewers"
Vs. Denett Law Offices "Cardinals"
The Brewers made an outstanding effort demonstrating their bullpen depth going with 5 pitchers, all throwing well. Andrew Krotinski, Joe Dunn, Yanni Rigos, Justin Marder & Adam Krieger were tough allowing only 5 runs over 5 innings. The defense was outstanding with some awesome plays made by Andrew Kraus & Joe Dunn. Although Cardinal pitching kept the Brewer offense to only 2 runs, Alexander Lutsky, Brendan Nolty, Anthony Kimkowski & Nick Zovich got some quality at bats continuing to get better every game. The Brewer offensive highlight of the game was made by Justin Marder who hit a 2 RBI, HR to drive in Joe Dunn in the 4th inning with a blazing shot to right field.

Efforts to contain the damage were made by Pitchers Sam Weinbaum, Justin Kelly & Brennan Scanlon. Defensively, Andrew Curcio, Edik Imanov, Evan Clark, Alex Cowen, Giovanni Castelli, Mike Zovich, & Anthony D'Ammassa combined to stop the bleeding. This loss may awaken this sleepy team to a contender.

Vs. The Tin Alley Grill "Astros" (7)
On the mound for our visiting Mariners was Brennan Scanlon, pitching a perfect 3 innings with 9 strike outs! In the 4th inning the Astros began what would be a fierce battle back into this game. Mariners' pitchers, Brad Rutkin, Justin Kelly & Jonathan Cioffi maintained their confidence and commitment to get the job done against the fiery hot bats of the Astros. Defensively they were backed by great plays made by Sean O'Hare, Alex Cowen, Evan Clark, Mike Zorvich, Edik Imanov, Anthony D'Ammassa & Giovanni Castelli. Offensively key hits were a triple by Evan Clark, a screaming line drive double by Mike Zovich, a double by Brennan Scanlon, and a "perfect bunt" by Brad Rutkin.
Andrea LoRusso-Pesiri, DC "Blue Jays" (7)
Vs. Virgilio Chiropractic "Reds" (6)
The Blue Jays were clinging to a 3-2 lead as Jack Kimmel (3 runs scored), Brandon Silva (2-2 w/5 SB's) and Gary Huang were able to get aboard and score against the Reds tough pitching. Liam Slattery's pitching (1 run in 2 innings) and the catching of Alex Lopez & Akaash Ranu combined with the defense of Andrew Waibel & Jayson Molina kept the Reds at bay. In the 5th, Jack doubled and was brought home on Brandon's 2 out single. Gary worked out his 3rd walk of the game bringing Liam Q. to the plate launching a 3 run homer giving the Jays the lead. Daniel Cohen & Jeffery Gordon provided the late inning glove work as Liam Q. shut down the determined Reds over the final 2 innings to earn himself a well-deserved game ball.

Nuzzi Fuel "Red Sox" (5) Vs. Virgilio Chiropractor "Reds" (3)
Red Sox centerfielder Tom Kelly picked up a Reds single in the game's final inning and threw a strike to catcher Craig Schmid, who put the tag on a Reds runner at home plate in time to halt a Reds rally and preserve the Red Sox' 5-3 win. The Red Sox offense was led by lead-off hitter Ethan Volk, who had a single and scored 2 runs, as well as Vinny Patrey, Joe Dimonte & Joe Tricarico all of whom had singles, too. Cooper Spector-Salwen, Jake Grusd, Michael Barry, Ethan Schonhaut & Ryan Tucker reached base at least once in the game, supporting the strong pitching of starter Mitch Schwartz.

Hand Rolled Bagels "Pirates" Vs. Tin Alley Grill "Astros"
Tim McCormack combined with Andrew Schneider for the play of the game with Tim throwing the ball on the fly from center field to catch the runner at the plate. Andrew caught the ball and slapped the tag on the runner for the game ending out. Brett Alper & Colton Schnall also made outstanding defensive plays on hard line drives. Brandon Martinez tagged out 2 runners at the plate & Derek Menker threw out a runner from right field at 1st base. Jon Kestenbaum continued his steady play at 1st base. Mitch Cohen & Griffin Adwar led the hitting attack, as they have done all season. But today Andrew Korpacz, Derek Menker, Jon Kestenbaum, Colton Schnall, Andrew Schneider, Brandon Marinez & Brett Alper all contributed at the plate
May 4
Andrea LoRusso-Pesiri, DC "Blue Jays" (5)
Vs. F&F Roofing "Orioles" (4)
The Blue Jays had to play catch-up as the O's scored 3 runs in the 1st. Jack Kimmel led off the game, got on base and scored as he stole 2 bases. He was brought home on Liam Slattery's RBI single. Akaash Ranu was called in for extra duty behind the plate and did a great job. The Blue Jays struck again in the 3rd as Jack worked out a walk and brought home on Liam S. triple to the gap. Brandon Silva followed with a double and the Blue Jays had the lead. The infield defense of Andrew Waibel, Gary Huang & Daniel Cohen continues to impress as Jayson Molina & Jeffery Gordon play their usual brand of heads up baseball. Liam Quinn's lights out pitching over the final 2 innings were sorely needed as the Blue Jays held on for the win.
May 6

Vs. Andrea LoRusso-Pesiri, DC "Blue Jays" (4)
Joe Dimonte's bases-loaded triple in the 6th inning proved to be the key hit in the Red Sox' 5-4 victory over the Jays. Earlier in the game, the Red Sox took a 2-1 lead on a triple by Ethan Schonhaut, who scored on Cooper Spector-Salwen's single. In the next inning, Mitch Schwartz tripled and was driven home on Joe Tricarico's single. Red Sox starting pitcher Vinny Patrey struck out 6 Jays and was backed up by a strong defense that included catcher Craig Schmid, 3rd baseman Tom Kelly & outfielders Ethan Volk, Michael Barry & Ryan Tucker.
Tin Alley Grill "Astros" (12) Vs. Virgilio Chiropractor "Reds" (11)
Mike Kemmet opened up the pitching effort, followed by Matt Dluginski & Steve Telsey who all threw hard and consistent. The hitting was delivered by Matt Dluginski, Pete Dunn & Mike Kemmet and recognizing Thomas Fong, Andy Ferrante & Ted Zarnitsky who showed fiesty at bats. The defensive support of Mike Fiorella & Aaron Hamooz rounded off the show with plays of the game put up by Pete Ferrante's nice glove work at SS & TJ Kemmet making a clutch shoe string grab in the 5th to end this nail biter.

Vs. State Bank of Long Island "Devil Rays"
Evan Clark & Brennan Scanlon each pitched well, holding the continuously threatening Devil Rays to 2 runs. Our pitching was backed up with good defensive efforts by Sam Weinbaum, Edik Imanov, Justin Kelly, Anthony D'Ammassa, Jon Cioffi, Sean O'Hare, Brad Rutkin, Alex Cowen, & Giovanni Castelli. Offensively, Giovanni Castelli put down a beauty of a sacrifice bunt resulting in a RBI. A combination of walks, steals, hits, and RBI's by Alex Cowen, Giovanni Castelli, Evan Clark, Brennan Scanlon, Brad Rutkin, Sean O' Hare, & Sam Weinbaum all combined to result in a 5 to 2 victory over the Devil Rays.

Broadway Plaza Hotel "Cyclones" (7) Vs. Wilson Elser "Ducks" (6)
The Cyclones came back from a 6-2 deficit, to edge the Ducks 7-6. Mike Ring, Chris Rivera & Joe Carbone pitched the first 4 innings, closed out by Andrew Pugliese. The Cyclone scoring was highlighted by a monster home run by Dominico Fazzolari! Mike Granieri & Jonah Mittler showed improvement at the plate! Mike Glaser doing the catching, threw out a would be base stealer to squash out a Duck rally. Ryan Gaitan showed his versatility, by playing all the infield positions, plus catcher! Adrian Kwan & Jake Phillips are super in the outfield! Dominick Fazzolari worked out a big walk to keep the Cyclone rally alive in the 6th inning.
April 28
Wilson, Elser "Ducks" (5) Vs. Broadway Plaza Hotel "Cyclones" (4)
The Ducks edged out the Cyclones 5-4. The Cyclones were down late in the game, but fought right to their last batter. The nitty, gritty Cyclone players were, Joe C, Domenick F, Dominico F, Ryan G, Michael G, Michael G, Adrian K, Peter L, Jonah M, Andrew P, Michael R, and Chris R. Thanks for a great day of Baseball from both players and fans from both teams!

Vs. The Stutzman Funeral Home "Bears"
The Bears came out swinging in the 1st inning to take a 2run lead. First at bat was Fran who hit a double then Nick P. gets up hits a single for an RBI & steals 2 bases. Matt gets his 1st RBI for the season. Brian R. continues his hitting streak with a single and a triple knocking some runs. Jonathon's bat woke up and got his 1st hit of the season, way to go! The defense was great leading the way is Nick S., Alex, Kevin, Mark & Brendan.
May 3
Wilson Elser " Ducks" (9)
Vs. J&K Electrical Contracting Corp. "Pride" (3)
The Ducks fell behind 2-0 in the 1st, when the strong sun won a battle with the Ducks fielders. In the 2nd inning, the Ducks scored twice on singles by Paul Reo & Logan Diamond. They both moved over on a wild pitch & Mike West knocked them both in with a clutch single to right. The Pride took a 3-2 lead in the 3rd, and the pitching on both teams kept the offenses in check. In the 6th, the Ducks' bat came alive. Brendan Lum led off with a hit, Paul Reo crushed a mammoth 2 run homer to center. Matt Zeiger laid down a beautiful bunt, and almost beat it out. John Young & Chris Ferlazzo walked, and Ross Hoffman got hit to load the bases. Ryan Marder walked in the next run, then Steve Popovich smacked a 2-run double. Ryan then stole home on a wild pitch & Brendan Lum drove in the last run for a 9-3 win. Pitchers Mike West, Brendan Lum & Steve Popovich combine to whiff 10 Pride hitters, while allowing only 3 hits.

Daniel Schwartz again mastered his location spotting the ball wherever he pleased giving the Pride 4 solid innings. Tyler Carrick & Danny Luchino showed some guts on the mound in tight spots. Catcher Joey Richards proved himself again blocking balls with anything and everything he could to stop runners from advancing. Patty Theo. was equally impressive behind the plate nabbing a would be stealer of home after a wild pitch. Also looking good on the field were Brett Kleinberg , Philip Gonzalez, Evan Rabinowitz, Matt Hirshon, Max Ginsberg & Michael Xia. Stephen Farkas had the Pride shot of the day with a hard hit single and also scored a run.

Nick P. pitched a solid 4 innings and coming in the 5th to relieve him was Matt G. Between the duos they gave up 1 earned run. Great job boys! Mark did great job at 3rd and went in at 2nd for an inning & caught a nice line drive to save a couple of runs. Brendan had a great day making contact with the bat and walking in the 6th inning to score a run. Bryan D. also contributed with a hot bat scoring a RBI. Nick S. continues his flawless defense in shortstop position for 2 games. Our other defensive players who played well were Brian R., Fran T., Alex M., Kevin T. & Trevor K.
Wislon Elser "Ducks" (9) Vs. Stutzman Funeral Home "Bears" (7)
Capped by Paul Reo's 1st inning grand slam, the Ducks were once again flying high together. Chris Ferlazzo walked 3 times, scored 3, & stole 4 bases. Logan Diamond knocked in 2 runs with a single & sac fly. Steve Popovich singled twice, drove in a run & stole a base. Ryan Marder smacked 3 hits, scored a run & stole a base. He also pitched 2 solid innings, giving up just 1 hit. Brendan Lum singled twice, scored a run with a RBI. He also whiffed 2 Bears in pitching 2 effective innings. Ross Hoffman walked, stole a base, and made some great plays in the field. Big Paul Goebel walked and stole 2 bases! Mike West pitched 2 strong innings in relief to close out the game. Matt Zeiger made another nice play at 3rd today. He, along with Matt Hershenhorn & Troy Driscoll, all hit the ball well.

It was another total team effort, with everyone contributing with clutch hitting, solid defense, and strong pitching. Chris Ferlazzo doubled, walked 3 times, scored twice, & stole 4 bases. Ross Hoffman walked 2 times, scored 3 runs, stole a base, and pitched a solid inning, striking out 3. Brendan Lum tripled, doubled, scored twice, and drove in 3 runs. Ryan Marder's single knocked in 2 runs, he also scored 2 times and stole 2 bases. Paul Reo singled twice, blasted a 2 run homer, scored twice and drove in 4 runs. Logan Diamond walked and drove in a run, and pitched a great inning, whiffing 1. Matt Zeiger walked 3 times, stole 2 bases, and made 2 terrific plays in the field. Matt Hershenhorn drove in a run with a nice hit and Big Paul Goebel walked and again stole 2 bases!

For the Pride, Phillip Gonzalez in his Major's pitching debut showed promise giving us 2 quality innings on the mound. The rotation was sured up by; Matt Hirshon, Michael Xia & Joey Richards. Max Ginsberg looked like a Major League middle reliever pitching 2 scoreless innings. At the plate, Matt Hirshon had the big shot of the day with a grand slam scoring Danny Luchino (2 hits, 2 runs scored), Joey Richards ( 3 hits, 1RBI) & Michael Xia (1 run scored). Stephen Farkas continues his hitting streak. Great job on the field by Evan Rabinowitz and especially Daniel Schwartz for an ESPN highlight type diving catch into shallow right field while playing second base.
