Every year Jay's World Childhood Cancer Foundation holds a 3vs3 Basketball Tournament with participants from all over Nassau County. The tournament this year will be held on the weekend of March 24 and 25. It is open to boys, girls, men and women ages 8-60 plus. The minimum fee to enter a four-player team is $150. All players get a T-shirt and the first-and-second place teams in each division get trophies. It is being hosted at North Shore High School gym in Glen Head.

Jay's World is a nonprofit foundation focusing on improving the quality of life for children and their families who are coping with the day-to-day struggle that is cancer. The mission of Jay's World is to raise funds to benefit children and help support the fight against childhood cancer. Their goal is to see that all that can be done is being done and that no child succumbs to the disease due to lack of support. In 2006 Jay's World awarded $68,000 in scholarship money to eight high school seniors and $100,000 to Winthrop-University Hospital. Please join in this wonderful event and help make a difference.
