Leona Eleanor Linder, 74, died on Dec. 4, 2006. She was born in Brooklyn on Sept. 25, 1932, the daughter of the late Walter Orbach and Louise Sommer Orbach. She lived in Ridgewood, Queens, for 20 years before moving to New Hyde Park.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Conrad W. Linder; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Gregory Depowski of New Hyde Park; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip Conrad and Ellen Linder of Colombia; and six grandchildren, Kristen, Michael and Hillary of New Hyde Park, and Gabrielle, Conrad and Philip Jr. of Colombia. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Orbach of Denver, CO.

Arrangements were made by the Sauls Funeral Home, Bluffton. Graveside service at Pinelawn Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Notre Dame Church, New Hyde Park. Marguerite (Peggy) B. Swiader, of New Hyde Park, died on Dec. 29, 2006. She was the clerk of the New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board for 35 years and worked as a proofreader at Anton Community Newspapers for a number of years. Beloved wife of the late Henry. Loving mother of Robert (Carol), John (Elaine), Msgr. James and Eileen (William) Cresswell. Loving grandmother of Erin, Betsy, Amanda, Christopher, Rachel, Matthew and great-grandmother of Emma. Arrangements were made by the New Hyde Park Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
