  • Sports: New Hyde Park Wildcats Roundup

I would like to thank and congratulate all the parents and children of the NHP tornadoes. The girls worked hard and were able to capture the championship tile against a tough opponent the NHP Hot Shots. The girls worked hard at practices and it showed on the field. Hayley Oliveira was our lead scorer followed by Melanie Navas (our free kick corner kick specialist). Hayley, Melanie and Nicole Farishian were a power offense. Danitza Leon also scored throughout the season but is better known as the playmaker with amazing passes and vision. We had a solid defense with our goalies/defenders Mariella Facibene and Maureen Mazza. Thanks also to our power defense led by Caitlyn Cosme and complemented Isabelle Brenes, Kimberly Kebish, a nd Gina Pepe. We would like to thank the Hot Shots, Cheetah Girls, and Soccer Tigers for a great season. Caryl Lorandini FULL STORY
