  • Sports: New Hyde Park Wildcats Roundup

What a great game was played on a clear, crisp fall Sunday by the Jets vs. the Cubs -- when these two team meet, you can always count on an exciting game -- and today was no exception! It was a close game! These two teams both played great defense as well as offense!! Christina did a wonderful job as goalie in the first half of the game for the Jets with some super saves at the goal. Elaine took a few powerful shots at the Cubs' goal, but was stopped by their super goalie -- good shots Elaine! Jamie powered the ball down the field and scored the Jets' first goal of the day -- great offense Jamie!!! Alannah played phenomenal defense during the first half. Jamie, Elaine and Alannah had some nice shots at the goal and made some great moves. Theodora was the Jets' goal tender for the second half of the game and she make some fantastic saves protecting the goal for the Jets -- nice job Theodora! Hailey, Ciara and Sophia played tight D -- not letting any balls get passed them. Ally and Larissa teamed well and played a nice game on offense as well as defense. Alannah scored the Jets second goal -- she was assisted by Elaine and Jamie. Shayna and Christina helped Theodora cover the goal very well in the second half -- all three girls made some super saves!!! As always the Jets played with heart and soul -- we are very proud of their performance -- keep up the good work girls. Teamwork seems to the motto for the Jets -- they play a great game of soccer every week!! FULL STORY
