Thousands Swarm Bar Beach to Participate in the Annual Family Fest
Thousands of residents, and non-residents swarmed into Bar Beach, on the Sunday before last, to participate in the many activities and events offered at the Second Annual Town of North Hempstead Family Fest planned by Supervisor Jon Kaiman, the members of the town board and the hard-working folks of the Parks and Recreation Department.

NHP Cyclones 13U Stomp the St. James Bulls
The NHP Cyclones traveled to St. James to play the Bulls on Sept. 24. The Cyclones brought out the heavy lumber in a double header sweep. They won the first game by a score of 12 -1. Again Dillon Popovich connected in the first inning for a RBI single to put the Cyclones up in an early lead. In the second inning Kenneth Wilcox knocked in Anthony Cruz for a 2 - 0 lead. The Cyclones scored 4 more times in the 3rd inning, David Velasquez knocked in two of the runs. With a 6 -0 lead going into the fifth the Cyclones closed the game out 6 more runs. Newcomer Josh Betton score two runs and Alex Fabian pitched a complete game 4 hitter. In game two the Cyclones kept up the hitting. They scored 4 runs in the first with RBI singles from Kevin Caldas and JT O'Callaghan, 3 runs in the 2cd and 6 runs in the 5th. The hitting stars of the game were Robert Wisnewski 4 for 4, Nicky Andali 2 for 3 and Cris Longoria 2 for 2 with a walk. Gibron Gurayah started and went 4 innings and Robert Wisnewski closed out the game by pitching the final three innings.

9/17/06 Game: Lightings vs. Lady Bugs - First half Logan Ward got two goals with an assist by Kristina Horan and Joanna Mauceri. Great goal saves by Sarah Sirkisoon and Zoe Zois. In the second half Giselle Correia scored with assist by Samantha Bravo. Alexandra Gootman scored with a pass by Logan Ward and Paulina Valentine had a break away
