At the last Herricks School Board meeting Superintendent Dr. Jack Bierwirth announced that the Goudreau Math Museum, housed at the Herricks Community Center, has gone out of business.
The Town of North Hempstead Will Never Forget
In the quiet, serene, but breathtakingly beautiful surroundings of the Town of North Hempstead's Clark Garden, the town held a very meaningful five-year memorial service honoring those from the town who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
NHP Cyclones Open NJBL Season With Sweep of Kings Park Rangers
The NHP Cyclones opened up its fall Nassau Junior Baseball League season with a sweep of the Kings Park Rangers at Tully Park. Game one was won by a score of 6-0. Alex Fabian went five innings and Dillon Popovich shut the door in the last inning. Some excellent hitting by Gibron Gurayah, Kenny Wilcox and JT O'Callaghan. The defense was led by Kevin Caldas, Anthony Cruz and Cris Longoria.
New Hyde Park Wildcats Roundup
Congratulations to Nicole Davis who began with our Wildcat program at age 5 and has continued on through her High School playing years, who has been named the 2006 Eastern New York Youth Soccer Associations "Youth Referee of the Year". Nicole began her officiating career with the Wildcats and then went on to become an Assistant Referee officiating games thru-out Long Island. She then successfully completing all of the necessary requirements for her to obtain her Referee license. The announcement was made at the Long Island Referees Association meeting. Once again, congratulations Nicole!
