    Following the annual New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board Reorganizational meeting the board held its regular meeting and it was announced that the board accepted a $100,000 payment from the Hillside Public Library, which has been housed at the Manor Oaks School for many, many years, for the restoration of the space used by the library.   • Sports: Merillon Little League Summer League Results

    The Athletics started off the season with an offensive battle against the Braves in which both teams scored over twenty runs. There was good timely hitting by all the players, especially Jimmy and John Denara, Christian Georgiadis, Aman Sawhney, Zachary Timmins and James Treadwell. Good defensive plays to get outs were made by Sean O'Leary, Steven Polito, Dean Vayias and Michael Zuschlag. The T.F. O'Brien Braves edged out the Broadway Plaza Hotel Athletics in the last inning.
