Wilson Elser "River Sharks" Vs. Knights of Columbus # 2852 "Road Warriors" __The River Sharks and Road Warriors subscribed to what Cubs great Ernie Banks used to say ("let's play two") when they essentially played two games in one night. Finishing a rain- suspended game from April, the Sharks and Warriors picked it up from the 3rd inning. The Sharks came back from a 4-1 deficit to tie the first place Warriors, and went an extra inning of play without a winner. After knotting the first game, the fish went down quietly in the night cap 4-0 as the Sharks' bats fell_silent against the Warrior's tough pitching staff. Any hopes of the Sharks toppling the Warriors for the first place seed and the playoff bye dissipated with tonight's tie and loss.

Wilson Elser "River Sharks" (0) Vs. Dr. Anthony Citriniti "Cylcones" (3)

_The River Sharks bats were no better than drift wood today when they dropped a rain-shortened game to the Cyclones to even their record at 6-6 for a .500 winning percentage. John Lee's bat was the only one with any pop in it and the River Sharks now look to re-group for their season finale against the Bears.

The Sharks now finish the season with a winning record at 7-6. John Lee was the star of the game making a nice grab in left and keying the offense with two solid hits. Steve Curran and Alex Taffet pitched well to set the tone for the playoffs, while David Resnick, Brendan Lum, Josh Garfinkel and Harrison Marder had yet another multiple hit game. Jared Root, Alex Taffet, Gabe Cohen, Daniel Lorrandini, Mike West and Steve Curran also added hits in the Sharks win. The Sharks hope to continue the hot hitting in the playoffs!

In an incredibly exciting extra inning playoff game, the Bears prevailed over the Cyclones 12-11. The Bears jumped out to quick 4-0 lead in the 1st but the talented Cyclones team roared back to take a 7-4 lead in the 5th despite the fine pitching performances of Dylan Brolly & Nicky Clifford. The Bears rallied to tie the game only to have the Cyclones score 4 runs in the 6th. Down to their last 3 outs of the season, the Bears battled back again to tie the score at 11-11. Birthday boy John Fanelli knocked in 2 runs with a big double & Bobby Friedner capped the comeback with a clutch 2 run double. In the top of the 7th, the defensive play of the game was turned in as shortstop Christian Dluginski nailed the go ahead run at the plate by making a perfect throw to catcher Jonathan Livers, who tagged out the runner.
