New Hyde Park/Williston Park Remembers Those Who Died
The New Hyde Park parade was held on a picture-perfect Saturday. The parade, after stopping for a short tribute on the grounds of the New Hyde Park Village Hall where the rock displays all the names of the New Hyde Park veterans, headed north on New Hyde Park Road and wound-up in Memorial Park on the corner of Lincoln Boulevard and Wilton Road.

New Hyde Park School Board Sets June 20 for Revote
As a response to the failed New Hyde Park/Garden City Park Elementary K-6 budget, at the last meeting the board voted to cut a total of $137, 412 from the $28, 478,955 failed budget and voted to submit a revised budget of $28,341,543 to the public. This results in a budget-to-budget decrease from 8.5 percent to 7.98 percent, with a tax levy from 8.7 percent to 8.05 percent. This budget will be voted on June 20, the date mandated by the state, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Manor Oaks School, 1950 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park.

Merillon Little League Scores
The Rangers took on the Cubs in a rain shortened game. For 4 innings both teams played exciting baseball. In spite of the slick field conditions Nicolas Mangia, Louis Mangia, Luke Esposito, Francesco Labita & Sean McClellan all displayed their gold glove caliber defense by making great plays in the field. There were also plenty of hits & runs scored. Providing the power were Samuel Livers, Reid Alper, Craig Cagner, George Vlantis & Nathan Vallejo, each had multiple hits driving in runs. The Rangers hope for better weather this week so they can continue to play baseball.
