The Herricks Community Fund held its 10th Annual Dinner Dance with more than 200 people in attendance. The event was held at the Crest Hollow Country Club and marked the 20th anniversary of the fund which supports the Alzheimer's Day Program, Herricks Youth Council, the Herricks Leisure Club and the Herricks Senior Citizens Inc.
In addition, the fund provides financial assistance to the Herricks Scholarship Fund, Herricks Teachers Center, the International Film Festival, the Art, Music and Athletic Boosters and the Teacher Mini-Grant Program.
The dinner dance was a spectacular success with over $18,000 raised. The event was chaired by co-Vice Presidents Iona Davis and Christine Turner along with the dinner dance committee of MaryAnn Pierce, Erina DeRosa, Isabel Milone, Jennie Santiago, and Jackie McHugh. Others involved were the co-presidents of the journal, Sheryl Cohen and Ann Tountas. A special thanks goes to the Ridgewood Savings Bank who once again sponsored the music for the evening provided by RPM, DJ Steve Griffin.
