The Third Squad is investigating a robbery that occurred on March 24 at 9 p.m. in New Hyde Park.
According to detectives, the 14-year-old victim was walking with a friend on Wilton Street when three unknown male subjects approached them, one displaying a small, black handgun. Two subjects grabbed the victim as the armed subject demanded her cell phone. The three subjects fled in an unknown direction.
There were no injuries. The subjects were described as follows: Subject one - black male, 6', wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweats, white doorag, armed with a small, black gun. Subjects two and three - black males.

On March 23 at 8:30 p.m., according to detectives, a 24-year-old female was walking on Sylvia Lane, New Hyde Park when an unknown male subject approached her from behind and placed his hand on her waist, where she was wearing an iPod. When the victim resisted, the subject lifted his shirt to display a black handgun in his waistband, whereupon the victim allowed him to remove the iPod. The subject fled in a small silver car with additional unknown occupants.

According to detectives, the victims were walking eastbound on Brooklyn Avenue at North 6th Street, New Hyde Park, when a black male in his 20s approached them. The subject displayed a handgun and demanded money and cell phones.
The subject fled on foot northbound on North 6th Street. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
