After serving for many years as New Hyde Park/Garden City Park School Board trustee, president and then president of the Sewanhaka Central School Board, Martin Cernese was forced to resign due to the large amount of travel, at the time, connected with his profession. The Annual Williston Park Street Fair was held on a picture perfect last Sunday. Although, it was a little on the warm side, the sun was shining brightly with nary a threat of rain, after dire rain predictions and residents and nearby community residents crowded the street that was shut down from Willis and Hillside Avenues to just before the railroad tracks.
