Irene Fuerst died on Aug. 23, 2005. Wife of the late Joseph. Mother of John Heinsohn. Grandmother of Hannah Irene Heinsohn. Also survived by her friends in Texas and by all her friends in Brooklyn, Williston Park and New Hyde Park. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, New Hyde Park. Funeral Mass at Holy Spirit RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Gertrude A. Sandgren, 86, formerly of New Hyde Park and Newport News, VA, resident since 1992, died on Sept. 3, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter H. and most recently by her brother Arthur Brunner. Survivors include her daughter Juanita S. and her husband William P. Cawley of West Point.
